MJ Finnigan won the demolition contract based on their quality submission and best value commercial response.
Due to the high profile of the location, it was imperative that the works were carried out to the highest standard, health and safety was always paramount.
This project involved the demolition of a redundant Cinema in Salford Quays. The site was located in a busy residential and commercial area with the following restrictions: – Live water courses, a large Hotel, residential blocks of flats and a number of offices buildings. Our particular concern in dealing with the neighbours and liaising with locals meant the entire project progressed very smoothly.
One of the main challenges was dealing with the technical demolition required dealing with the live HV sub station adjoining the Cinema which had to be retained and kept live throughout the project.
The entire project was completed within budget, with due care to the surrounding properties, within the assigned programme and without any accidents or complaints.
