hbs31713a-copyThe Demolition of Hale Barns Square on behalf of Development Securities Plc. Phases 1, 2 and 3  were completed in December 2013 to make way for a new multi million pound retail and residential development on behalf Development Securities.

The project is unique in that the initial tender enquiry only included for the phase 1 works, the demolition of a 3 storey block of flats. The client was so impressed with our approach and dedication to resident liaison that phases 2 and 3 were taken out of the follow on main contractor design and build package and negotiated as an enabling works contract direct with the client.

Comments from the client:-

“Having concluded the Final Account I wanted to record my thanks to your company and to you personally for the way you have dealt with the demolition works at “The Square”.

We knew it was never going to be easy dismantling buildings within close proximity of neighbouring occupiers, and it is always frustrating having to phase the demolition, especially when its phasing is introduced mid – contract.

I was impressed with the effortless way you dealt with the statutory undertakings, that aspect alone could have seriously delayed the works and the subsequent commencement of the reconstruction.

Then there was the contamination that was discovered during the course of the works, and without any drama you dealt with that efficiently and effectively with a clean sheet in terms of health and safety.

All in all an exemplary performance.
